Welcome to Kuhestan Farm in the Magoebaskloof mountains home to indigenous Afro-montane forests, pine plantations, blue gum trees and babbling brooks.  This is a place whose tranquility will soothe the most furrowed brow.

Kuhestan Farm, in Magoebaskloof, is an organic avocado farm which also offers self-catering cottage accommodation for nature lovers, birders and everyone who is in search of peace, quiet and beauty.

Touching the edge of an expanse of evergreen Afro-montane forest, Magoebaskloof Kuhestan Farm overlooks the home of the rare Samango monkeys.  Only in a few unique places does one have the rare opportunity to come face to face with these graceful little apes. Samangoes are seen around the farm and in early summer raid both peach and plum trees on the farm.

Kuhestan Farm is located on the edge of the Woodbush Forest in Magoebaskloof and provides accessible forest birding.  While the fine indigenous evergreen forests in the De Hoek and Woodbush Forest are undoubtedly the main attraction, the area has a variety of habitats, including exotic eucalyptus and pine plantations, marshes and reed beds, upland grassland and a variety of marginal habitats on forest and plantation edges.
